Le Mans 2-1 Lorient: Bourabaa and Diallo give P. Videira a controlled, necessary win

Le Mans got the result and the timing right at MMArena on Saturday, beating Lorient 2-1 in Ligue 1. P. Videira’s side did not dominate every phase, but they owned the key moments and turned a balanced game into a disciplined home win.

Adil Bourabaa scored in the 3rd minute, assisted by Rayan Bamba, and Le Mans had the match exactly where they wanted it: an early lead, the crowd lifted, and Lorient forced to chase. In a match where possession was almost even, Le Mans needed someone to turn good positions into actual chances. Bretelle did that.

Behind them, Sidibé, Yohou and Voyer gave the home side a platform. Sidibé was booked in the 74th minute, but his defensive work still mattered: 82 passes, three tackles, and eight duels won. Yohou and Voyer helped Le Mans keep Lorient to just two shots on goal.

Jensen gave Lorient the spark they needed. He scored in the 78th minute, assisted by K. Kouassi, and suddenly Le Mans were under pressure. Kouassi, despite his 19th-minute booking, stayed involved and supplied the moment that made the away side believe.

But Lorient did not have enough sustained threat. Faye added energy, Kone had a shot on target, and Jensen scored from his only attempt on target. Still, the comeback was too small and too late.
